Sub Pop / USA / LP, Reissue
Pentastar: In the Style of Demons is Earth’s third studio album, released in 1996 via Sub Pop Records. Marking a shift from their earlier drone doom sound, it adopts a minimalist, rock-oriented style, with two tracks featuring vocals by Dylan Carlson. It includes a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s "Peace in Mississippi," with the original vinyl featuring an alternate take, making it a collector's item. The album's title references both Chrysler’s Pentastar logo and its status as Earth’s fifth CD release. The cover features a Plymouth Barracuda with a custom "Earth" decal. This was Earth’s final release before disbanding in 1997.
