“Sound Trek (Remastered)” by legendary electronic music duo Emerald Web, is a rarefied blend of vintage synthesizers, Lyricon, and acoustic instruments. This authorized reissue of their third album, originally released in 1980, is a melodic brew of Fantasy, New Age and Space music, from a transformative era in music.
Transferred, baked, and remastered from the original reel-to-reel master tapes, this album was never before available as downloads. (Beware of the pirated version on DUST Records which is inferior audio quality.)
The husband and wife duo, Bob Stohl and Kat Epple were pioneers in Electronic Music, New Age Music, healing music, and music technology. From 1977-1990, as Emerald Web, they recorded 12 albums of original music on various record labels, and composed film scores for Apple Computers, PBS, and famed astronomer, Carl Sagan, among others.
Based in the San Francisco Bay area through the 1980s, Emerald Web's concerts in planetariums, observatories, museums, and other unusual venues, were performed on an array of now-vintage synthesizers, Lyricon Electronic Wind Instruments, flutes, and other acoustic instruments.
